GLAM DAMN IT June Ambrose Launches Turban line
June Ambrose Loves Her Turbans

Celebrity stylist, June Ambrose is at it again. This time she has launced her own personal line of turbans that is definitely a trend to rock this summer.

June has provided fierce style for Diddy, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blidge and a list of others from some time now. She is the go-to person at fashion week and has been seen wearing the flyest “color blocking” outfits all over the city.

Ambrose’s new line of turbans been her own signature look that she has been wearing that encouraged her to start her own line of turbans. The idea to start her own line of turbans came from wearing a turban every night during NY Fashion Week as well as making a statement with every outfit.

GLAM DAMN IT Christian Louboutin

Edgy Trend: Studs & Spikes

The newest trend this season is anything studded. Studded and spiked accessories have been seen on some of our favorite celebs such as Nicki Minaj & Rihanna. “Assault with a deadly weapon” is the best way to describe these edgy accessories. They're hot but can cause some harm if worn the wrong way.

There's an array of styles available: earrings, cuffs (bracelets) rings and even necklaces (dog collar, anyone?). Christian Louboutin debuted a line of extremely popular studded shoes this past season and Brian Atwood also jumped on the stud train with his S/S 2011 collection. Here are some of our favorite pieces!

GLAM DAMN IT Janelle Monae rockin' her black & white Oxfords
For Oxford Lovers Only

I am usually a heel-type of female, but my first time trying on a pair of Oxfords was my very first time purchasing a pair as well. Shoe lovers, let me tell you about my new passion for oxfords -they are so comfortable! One oxford advocate is singer Janelle Monae, who loves to focus her style on sharp pant suits, updos, flawless make-up and (of course) black and white oxfords.

The term “Oxfords” has primarily been used to describe men's dress shoes, but technically sneakers and women's high heeled pumps are considered oxfords as long as they lace up. Many designers now carry oxford shoes for women. There's several styles to choose from from two-toned to platform wedges to high heels.

GLAM DAMN IT Tribal print dress $78
Go Tribal for Spring

Last month Teyana Taylor went “tribal” and rocked African, Lebanese and Indian-inspired prints on the cover of Vibe magazine. After that, everyone has been trying to get their hands on some tribal wear. One of my followers posted this question on twitter the other day about making a statement as far as fashion: “With the summer time coming up it will be all about the bright colors, color blocking, animal prints and tribal prints. Which fashion statement will you be making this season?”

GLAM DAMN IT Lanvin Black patent leather wedge
Ladies Love Lanvin

This past year Lanvin collaborated with H&M to bring us luxury and affordability. It was pretty much the pairing of 2010 -nothing less than magical. With that move they gained a whole other demographic and the brand is now stronger than ever. Over the years it has become popular for high-end luxury brands to combine their designs with other affordable brands (think Target). This combination has been nothing short of a gold mine -for both the consumer and the company. The ability to get couture designs at a fraction of the cost? That's something I could get use to!

We love Lanvin's shoes more than anything. And this season they brought us quite the collection. From bright pink heels to peep-toe pumps to 6 inch wedges, Lanvin doesn't disappoint! They continue their reign in fashion with statement shoes that scream “Look at me!" Here are some of our favorites from Lanvin this season..

GLAM DAMN IT Trend report.. Color blocking off the runway
Color Blocking

This season’s hottest trend is 'Color Blocking'. We've seen everyone, even our favorite celebrities, color blocking in some of their favorite outfits. Designers such as Gucci, Alexandre Herchcovitch and Miu Miu have created a great collection this season, and it’s all about colors! Check out Gucci’s new line and you will see a wide range of trends, patterns, and colors in the collection.

'Color blocking' consists of different colors mixed together to create a look. This trend is like art; experimenting with colors (green, red, yellow, blue and pink) and mixing them together to create a look. Katy Perry and Rihanna are famous for their color blocking outfits. As a matter of fact, Katy Perry can be seen on the cover of Elle Magazine working a Gucci outfit, and color blocking from head to toe with an aqua shirt, green blazer, and purple pants with a gold belt to match.
