Scene
Bukowski’s Tavern has a real rustic old school look with dim lighting, red booths, and checker tiled floor. The inside is very narrow with a long bar on the left as you walk in, and has a dive bar type of atmosphere. A twenty minute walk from Fenway makes this place the perfect pre-game bar, visit this place prior to a Red Sox’s game and you will find yourself bumping elbows with the forever die-hard fan aka Red Sox Nation.
Eats & Drinks
With an impressive beer list, this place is a beer-lover’s paradise. Over 100 different beers makes this place perfect for the beer aficionado or your worst nightmare if you have problems committing. Bukowski’s Tavern also serves the always appetizing and fan favorite “pub grub” to give that IPA you are drinking something to wash down. What also makes this place great before a Red Sox’s game is the infamous “Buck Burger” which is under 2 bucks before 8 pm, meaning that you won’t have to spend your money on a $7 hot dog and $11 nachos at the game.
Ambience
This place eats, breathes, and sleeps Boston pride. Bukowski’s Tavern has an awesome beer selection with reasonable pricing making this spot the young jet-setting crowd often returns to and stays to blow off steam and get a little loose. This is a place where you can loosen that tie up and unbutton the top two buttons on your Canali dress shirt, have more than a few and kick it with some real “New Englanders.”

TIPS

Good overall dive bar--good food, service, and bartender as well as a wide beer selection. What more could you ask for?

Every Monday through Friday Bukowski Tavern on Dalton Street flips $1.99 burgers and hot dogs from 11:30am until 8pm. Bukowski also has one of the best craft beer selections in the Back Bay.

If a bar serves a bottle of beer that is 25 dollars it's safe to say they are not a dive bar. So stop calling this place one.

Best dive bar in Boston!

A dive bar with a killer beer selection. Belly up to the bar and spin the wheel of beer if you dare. You drink what beer it lands on. :)
