Scene
Why spend your Friday and Saturday nights anywhere else but in downtown Boston? Nestled between the Theater District and Downtown Crossing in what is known as the Alley is Boston’s most tantalizing nightlife experience: Mantra. During the day, Mantra serves French-Indian fusion cuisine, but at night Mantra opens its doors to Boston’s hottest and sexiest crowd for nights of non-stop dancing and partying. Once an 18th century bank, developers reinvented Mantra’s location to encompass upscale dining, superb décor, and sophisticated personalities. Beware because only true trendsetters and fashionistas mingle within the exotic and sultry atmosphere at Mantra. Get ready for a night of memorable and seductive experiences—if you can handle it.
Eats & Drinks
Mantra serves some of Boston’s most talked about French-Indian infusion. Executive chef Jerry Pabla manages a team of talented chefs, who prepare a delicious set of meals. With a side of fenugreek potato, wilted arugula, and caper cream, the grilled filet mignon proves to be one of Mantra’s most popular dishes. Like their outstanding lunch and dinner menu, Mantra’s exciting cocktail menu also has Bostonians crazy. Bartenders at mantra concoct an enticing mix of alcohol and fresh ingredients such as the Anarkali, a blend of pomegranate infused cognac, pomegranate juice, and Mandarin Blossom vodka.
Ambience
Upon entering the doors of Mantra, patrons forget that a bank once stood in the same location. Red lighting, plush couches, and dark wooden seating provide an exotic trip to South East Asia, where people indulge in their innermost desires and pleasures. Mantra is spread over two floors that include a main dining area, a “stage” for private parties, the Atma Tea Lounge formally known as the Hookah Den, and the exclusive Ombar. The large area allows patrons to partake in a relaxing dining experience in the main restaurant or mix and mingle amongst the trendiest group of people at the Atma Tea Lounge or Ombar.
