This Mediterranean/Italian treat to Boston's North End may be a cheese lover's utopia. They feature a mozzarella tasting in which patrons may choose from three cheeses and complimenting meats and vegetables. La Degustazione di Mozzarella di Bufala allows you to choose from traditional, smoked or burrata mozzarella.
The cheese does not stop there. Plenty of the items on the menu incorporate a variation of mozzarella offered by the establishment. The caprese salad is donned with buffalo mozzarella. The maltagliati strapazzati is a chicken dish dressed in a smoked buffalo mozzarella cream with sundried tomato, mushrooms and spinach. Traditional tiramisu is served as a dessert option and is a perfect way to round out cheesy indulgence.
Pulcinella Mozzarella is owned by Giovanni Oliva. Oliva also owns Trattoria Pulcinella on Huron Avenue in Cambridge, a more romantic, dimly lit restuarant as opposed to its more vibrant and airy counterpart. Pulcinella Mozzarella seats 42 people and is open from 11am to 11pm during the week, extended hours are to midnight on Friday and Saturday.
