Cambridge’s premier music venue, the Middle East has everything from impressive live music shows every week to a restaurant with authentic Middle Eastern inspired dishes to a nightclub and bar and even ZuZu!, a small nightclub and lounge. This mega-club is the answer for all those who want to go out on weekends without running into pretentious and obnoxious personalities found at other clubs. The alternative concerts and event nights provide a fresh experience for Bostonians. Expect to find college students and young twenty something’s dancing and rocking out to the tunes at the Middle East.
Eats & Drinks
Middle East offers catering and a full menu of Middle Eastern inspired food. Nestled between the Middle East Club and the Middle East Music Venue is ZuZu! ZuZu! offers small plates of Indian, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and Moroccan food, all of which is moderately priced. All the places within this complex offer a wide variety of wine, beer, and liquor.
Ambience
All of the smaller establishments within the Middle East provide efficient space to hold fantastic dance nights and concerts. Some of the more popular dance nights include Throwed and the Mango Beat Club, both of which offer alternative music for those who are not interested by trance or club music. ZuZu! provides more of a lounge-type vibe compared to the rest of the Middle East. If you’re looking for a low-key, relaxing spot to enjoy a drink, ZuZu! at the Middle East will give you just that. Afterwards dance the night away at the main areas of the Middle East Restaurant and Nightclub.
