Yes, we're all feeling it right now—that Monday morning crash. Maybe you were out drinking 'til the wee hours every night this weekend, or maybe you were up reading Mansfield Park really late last night. Whatever it was, if your weekend is hitting you over the head in a bad way, we've got the solution: Tijuana Alarm Clock, Trina's Starlite Lounge's special recovery cocktail. It was offered off the menu last year for a while, and we thought it was discontinued, but apparently, they still serve this strange concoction of blanco tequila, orange juice, Worcestershire, Sriracha, raw egg, and Dos Equis, if you ask nicely, that is.
If you don't have the stomach for a spicy, fruity, raw egg cocktail, Trina's serves up a vast array of unique libations that are sure to soothe, such as Fallen Angel, a spicy mango margarita, brimmed with dusting of bbq, the Violette Hour, a combination of cucumber vodka, lavender syrup, lime juice and creme de violette, and Starlite, which is made of white rum, parfait amor, lemon, and bubbles. (Bubbles!)
A restaurant and lounge with a retro Southern feel, Trina's also offers a full menu, featuring homey comfort food like black bean chili, corn bread, sweet potato hash, crab cakes, corn dogs, angus burgers, macaroni and cheese, and fried chicken with waffles.
How can you not fall in love with a down home restaurant with high falutin' drinks?
