Living the Good Life

The Good Life, was, in its former life, a floundering 1950’s-style martini bar, but after being bought by new owners and receiving a total renovation, this downtown Boston lounge and nightclub finally hit its groove (and lives up to its promise). The space’s newest incarnation is as a slick European vodka lounge boasting two floors, three bars, 150 different brands of frozen vodka, rotating artwork, and international DJs spinning everything from deep house to underground hip hop. The Good Life offers a full lunch/dinner/bar experience at its restaurant on the top floor, with a bistro inspired fare that includes well-executed dishes such as butternut squash ravioli and roasted Atlantic salmon. Down one level is the Afterlife Lounge, which is less lounge and more club; shimmering young things and their admirers swill stiff vodka cocktails with strange names and celebrate la belle vie all night long…
