The New Generator

Once a prominent gay club in the late 90s, The Generator spent six years as trendy Euro-club Rive Gauche before reopening June 2005 as The New Generator. Hints of the club's past life like mini Eiffel Tower statues and oversized Mardi Gras masks adorn a large central dance floor, surrounded by private booths and oversized mirrors. Special events like "Drag Night" Thursdays keep Chicago's proudest busy on both floors of the bar until 4 am. Leave your Manolos at home, as the homosexual hip hop crowd (and your feet) will appreciate your Air Jordans a whole lot more (just make sure they're spotless).
