Max Bar

Things donÂ't really get hopping until after 11pm at Max Bar, an upscale after hours lounge/dance club in Lincoln Park. Since opening its doors in April, 2006, Max has consistently drawn sizeable crowds by offering great service, reasonable drink prices and some of the cityÂ's best DJs. The front lounge is high-class all the way—dark woods, plush leather booths and plasma screens set behind a dramatically-lit bar. The backroom/club offers even more theatrical lighting, two levels well-suited for dancing and mingling and layered wood soundproofing that does the job while managing to be pleasing to the eye. Credit goes to general manager Q and his excellent staff for creating one of the best new clubs in Chicago.
