Venue Description:
At the front door of the Magnificent Mile...
Surrounded by the urban architecture
that draws millions each year...
is located a private club, offering
exacting service and superb cuisine.
On two secluded floors, perched 25 and 26 stories above Michigan Avenue, The Tavern Club brings its members and guests a unique and traditional environment - one of comfort and style, with a dash of inspiration.
The Club was founded in 1927 "to encourage the arts, intellectual recreation, and good-humored interest in life". Over the years it's members have included people at the center of the city's cultural and business affairs, such as Carl Sandburg, Hellen Hayes, Frank Lloyd Wright, William Wrigley and Chicago's own late Mayor Richard J. Daley.
Present-day members represent a cross section of modern Chicago - from business, science and higher education to government, law, the diplomatic corps and the arts - all adding to the eclectic and spirited life that is The Tavern Club
The "Tav" is noted for it's stunning views of the city's skyline, with perspectives not found from any other building.
It's distinctive cuisine, wine list, and event planning have won acclaim from discerning members and guests. An experienced Club staff holds fast to a level of service that anticipates your needs.
An active event calendar enriches members' personal, educational and civic interests.
Today, The Tavern Club prospers by preserving the traditions that have made it Chicago's most venerable, yet convivial private club.

Tip- Went to brunch at EBC today for Valentine's Day, ridiculously delicious! Loved the omlete bar and chocolate fountain. I also got a massage - if you like deep tissue, Ann was fantastic.
