On Friday, Feb. 8, The MID and React welcome the return of Mad Decent's BAAUER along with the legendary, hip-hop producer, Just Blaze to a wild and crazy edition of MAYHEM at the MID!

Brooklyn bad boy and Trap star, Baauer gained a lot of attention and praise with his signature blend of future crunk and trap music. He broke into the limelight with his smash single, "Harlem Shake" earlier this year which recieved major play in mixes and clubs everywhere. In response, the track lead to him being picked up by Diplo's infamous Mad Decent Records, which helped jumpstart Baauer’s career. His influences are heavily drawn from southern rap and the UK bass sound that are fused together for an innovative sound that has bass-heads hooked all across the globe.

One of the most famous hip-hop DJs in the world, New Jersey born, Just Blaze  worked closely with Roc-a-Fella Records in the early 2000s. He'sproduced hits like Cam’ron’s “Oh Boy,” Jay-Z’s “Girls, Girls, Girls,” and Beanie Sigel and Freeway’s “Rock the Mic.” He worked closely with Roc-a-Fella’s other in-house producer, Kanye West, on the label’s many albums released during this same period. And like West, he developed a trademark knack for using old-school soul samples in unique ways for his hooks.

Baauer and Just Blazer recently released their collab "Higher" that you can check out below! For more informatuon and to buy tickets visit here.
