Light Up and Kick Back at Havana

Havana Social Club and Cigar & Rum Bar is small and cozy with a Cuban vibe that makes you feel like you’re somewhere exotic. The gentlemen dress to impress and the females’ hotness peak on the Kardashian scale. The staff serves up the celebrity treatment - with the red carpet, the cameras, and all. The managers greet each guest by introducing themselves, lighting cigars, and pouring drinks. The drinks aren’t outrageously priced (but aren’t cheap either); however, the bartenders serve them each with a gracious smile. The DJ doesn’t slow up one bit with the constant rotation of the top 40’s and he doesn’t hide behind the barrier of the DJ booth. He is all about connecting with the crowd, even inviting me up to check out his playlist and give him feedback.

Havana has more of a chill and mature crowd, ages ranging from mid-twenties to early thirties. People pass out drinks and cigars as if they know each other. And by the end of the night, everyone knows everyone. This lounge is a comfortable place to relax and meet new people. It is also located close to other nice lounges in Uptown and the American Airlines Center, so there is always a mix of crowds.

Havana does not disappoint. If you plan on socializing and hearing good music, check out Havana
