How would your describe you personal style?
Very eclectic.
What city has better fashion, New York or London?
I would say NYC. The style is more mature and androgynous; I prefer it to London’s more wild style.
Who is your style icon?
Erin Wasson, I LOVE her!
Where is your favorite place in the city to hang out?
I spend most nights at 1 Oak.
High fashion furrier Dennis Basso mixes contemporary with traditional at this seasons’ Spring/Summer 2010 show. A burgundy lip and tight bun compliment the collection of floor grazing gowns, full tiered skirts and body conscious bustiers. He keeps with his love of “classic things that have a bit of a twist” in way of diamond dusted python accompanied by gold and bronze chiffon skirts with delicate belt detail at the waist (which were all the rage). Creams, butters, navys and a red centered floral played a significant part in Basso’s cocktail dress. The use of fur as if it was fabric was seen in boleros and thigh length jackets that alternated rows of fur with organza to create the illusion that the garment is floating.

Who is your style icon?
I’ve been studying in London for the last three years so I’m quite into British style. Alexa Chung always looks cool and I love Agyness Deyn.
What is on your wish list this season?
I really want a pair of biker boots.
What season comes with the best wardrobe?
Definitely winter; I’m not used to wearing very colorful clothes so I find it harder knowing what to put together in the summer.
What is she wearing?

For those who do not know what brogueing is, it comes from the root word brogue. It’s usually a low-heeled shoe made of a heavy leather, originating in the United Kingdom. Brogues are traditionally a men's shoe, commonly used as an outdoor shoe and are normally made in brown and are not traditionally worn around town.
The distinction between brogues and brogueing is that brogueing refers to punched patterns along the seams and outer layers of the shoe, while a brogue is not only a fully-punched shoe, but also has an open lacing.
Designers such as Alexander McQueen, Dolce and Gabbana and Bally are making use of the brogueing trend. McQueen, known for his daring fashion style, turns the brogueing trend into a 4 inch oxford styled shoe equipped with three separating shoe tongues. Dolce and Gabbana make this trend into a calf length boot with suede and alligator skin and a chucky gold heel and a half and inch wooden platform. Bally, a shoe company that started off as a ribbon company in Switzerland, turns this trend into a 6 buckle peep toe pump that will have all the fashionistas drooling this season.
Brogueing is a style that man and women can both wear; there aren’t many trends that can be unisex but the ones that come along are the ones that have longevity.

How would you describe your personal style?
Classic with a twist; I don’t really do color.
Which celebrity’s closet would you like to raid?

What is your soundtrack to the summer?
When I’m out it’s always the old songs that I get excited about when they come on, so I made myself a playlist of all the oldies like Dolly Parton and The Isley Brothers.
