Whether they were playing host, making special guest
appearances, or just looking to party, celebrities flocked to Vegas to
celebrate New Year's Eve last Thursday. Here's the rundown of the hottest ways celebs
rang in 2010.
Black Eyed Peas at LAX
Fergie and husband Josh Duhamel stayed close throughout the night once they arrived at LAX in the Luxor. Black Eyed Peas member Apl.De.Ap entertained the crowd with his spinning while the rest of his band mates (minus the love-birds) cheered him on from the DJ booth.
The band took to the platform above the DJ booth a little before midnight where they performed a selection of their hit singles. As Will.I.Am began the countdown to midnight, Josh Duhamel rushed the stage the land a sweet New Year's kiss on his wife. The band then performed "I Gotta Feeling" before Will.I.Am hit the DJ booth to spin.
Late into the night, or early in the morning, depending on how you think of it, Prince made one of his rare social appearances joining the Black Eyed Peas in the VIP area.
Maroon 5 at the Palms
Adam Levine and the rest of Maroon 5 performed for thousands of fans at The Pearl Concert Theater in the Palms this New Year's Eve. Many celebrities chose this more low-key way to celebrate the decade's end, including Jason Segel, Kris Allen and his wife Katy, and Kirsten Dunst. Hundreds of brightly colored balloons dropped at midnight before Maroon 5 continued their set into 2010.
The band, joined by Jason and Kirsten, continued the party after the performance at the Playboy Club at a VIP table.
Holly Madison at Prive
Former Girl Next Door and Playboy Bunny, Holly Madison rang in the New Year at Prive in Planet Hollywood. The rest of her Peepshow cast were in attendance along with Nelly, Lance Bass, and Jermaine Dupri who even spun a guest DJ set.
Unfortunately, there was no evidence of the New Year's kiss between Holly and supposed boyfriend Benji Madden that had been rumored on Twitter.

50 Cent at Pure
50 Cent ended 2009 at Pure where attendees could watch the amazing Strip firework show from Caesar's Palace's outdoor terrace while listening to 50's pumping set. 50 Cent and the rest of the crew sipped on Hennessy throughout the night and got the crowd moving with the help of boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. Mayweather danced alongside the rap star, flipping off the crowd, and even making it rain by showering them with bills.
Mayweather wasn't the only celebrity in attendance at the concert. 50 Cent's rumored girlfriend Ciara was also in the crowd dancing the night away along with other celebs such as Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo, Kenyon Martin, and Governer.
Christina Aguilera at TAO
Christina Aguilera brought her husband Jordan Bratman, her sister Rachel, and all of her dancers to come and celebrate the New Year with her at TAO in The Venetian. Christina was very festive for the occasion wearing a glittery New Years party hat and playing with a glittery toy sound maker. The singer was having such a great time at the celebration that she even took to the stage a few minutes early before leading the countdown to 2010. After the new year had officially begun Christina returned the the VIP skybox to give her husband a new year's kiss.
Nicole Richie at LAVO
Nicole Richie and boyfriend Joel Madden took a little time away from their two young children to party at LAVO at The Palazzo. Like her friend, Christina Aguilera, Nicole also took to the stage a few minutes before midnight where she turned the tables on the fans and took pictures of them to post to her Twitter page. Once she lead the countdown, Nicole joined Joel at the DJ booth and watched while he spun a guest set for the nightclub. After he was finished, the couple headed back home to LA to continue the New Year with their kids.
Tons of other celebrities started off the New Year at LAVO included Ryan Gosling, Jaime Murray, Devon Aoki, Deryck Whibley, and Wilmer Valderrama. Wilmer even took to the microphone while taking shots of Patron to get the crowd pumped up.
