The brain-child of Van Halen’s former lead singer Sammy Hagar, the Cabo Wabo Cantina at Harvey’s Lake Tahoe is known for its tropical drinks made with, what else, Cabo Wabo tequila. A Lake Tahoe party hot-spot, the Cabo Wabo features a laid back “rock’n’roll party” vibe with great food, good times and drinks aplenty. Nicknamed the “Tahoe Wabo” the Cabo Wabo in Tahoe is the first Cabo Wabo location opened in the U.S., the original Cabo Wabo Cantina was opened by Hagar in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

A Mexican restaurant by day and a bar/club by night, the Cabo Wabo serves up some of the area’s greatest Mexican food along with fantastic drinks. Featuring Cabo Wabo tequila in most of their drinks, the Cabo Wabo Cantina supplies many delicious ways of indulging in it. The Red Rocker, apart from being Hagar’s nickname, is a tasty drink with Cabo Wabo tequila, Remy Red, pineapple and passion fruit juices, and a float of Creme de Noy that will be sure to delight your taste buds. Another crowd pleaser is the Cabo Waborita made with Cabo Wabo Blanco tequila, triple sec orange liqueur, fresh lime juice and a splash of blue curacao. Whether you are sampling one of the many delicious tropical drinks, taking shots, or having drinks by the yard, the Cabo Wabo guarantees a night filled with fun.

With their slogan of “What happens in Cabo stays in Tahoe”, the Cabo Wabo is never in short supply of good times for all. Sammy Hagar describes they lifestyle of Cabo Wabo as “spicy food, margaritas and shots, having fun, and a lot of beach time” and featuring Mexican décor and a rocker vibe, the Cabo Wabo provides patrons with just that. Friday and Saturday nights will find the Cabo Wabo packed with people dancing to that night’s live band and there is never a cover charge. The Cabo Wabo is now presenting clientele with a new VIP area called “The Beach” whose rental includes personal service by the Cabo Girls and two gallons of Blanco Margaritas.
