SATURDAY- 7/3- God Bless Alka Seltzer

It’s day two of Independence Day weekend in Vegas and you’re probably feeling your Friday night all over. After you go through whatever hangover cure method you practice (don’t have one?), you have to get back out into the city where the fun is just beginning.

Yes, you just detoxed with a cold shower and a big breakfast, but you’re in Vegas to party. Start off with a free wine tasting at Marché Bacchus French Bistro and Wine Market. The food is French/New Orleans fusion cuisine and it is paired with a variety of wines for the tasting. The free wine tasting happens every Saturday.

Afternoon

Head over to TAO beach for their all-day beach party. Enjoy the swim-up bar, get a massage, or enjoy the TAO Asian Bistro. LMFAO DJ’s Redfoo and Sky Blu will be performing all day. TAO’s floating dance floors will be open all day.

Not a fan of dance and house music? Saturday is the Summerlin Jazz Festival at Garfield’s Restaurant. $25 gets you admission and two drinks as you relax to straight jazz, R&B, Soul, Blues, and Funk. The full bar and appetizer menu are available.

Evening

Fremont Street is pulling out all the stops this year for Independence Day weekend. The Little River Band is performing for free on the 3rd Street Stage at 9 PM. Fremont Street Fever presents video displays and virtual fireworks shows every night this weekend. The video shows are themed “Summer of the 70’s” and are tributes to bands like The Doors, Queen, Kiss, and George Thorogood.

If you consider yourself a member of High Society, grab dinner at Nove Italiano. For something less swanky but still in step with your wild weekend, keep your buzz and your groove going at BB King’s Blues Club. Live music and southern Creole cuisine never stop at this cool club on the Strip.

Also, country rocker Kenny Chesney is playing The Joint at The Hard Rock on Saturday night at 8. Tickets range from $100 to $1000 for a VIP pass.

After Dark

Head back to your hotel suite and get suited for your night. You danced with DJ’s and bumped to the blues all day- now it’s time for all you rap and hip-hop fans out there to get yours. Public Enemy takes the stage at Jet at 10:30 PM (yes, Flav will be there!). You can bet that Independence Day will inspire some more crazy politically charged lyrics from the old school rappers. There’s a dress code for this throwdown, though, so spiff up. If you’re not into PE, Busta Rhymes is tearing it up at Eve in Crystals at City Center at the same time.

Both Jet and Eve are also two of the hottest nightclubs and lounges Vegas has to offer. Stick around after the concerts for drinks or head to Caesars, TAO, or the Mirage for the best late night swimming.

Check back here for Sunday’s lineup with plenty more activities for SINdependence Day 2010!
