The Fountain Coffee Room
For those seeking a more formal atmosphere, accompanied by higher prices and increased chances of coming across Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, perhaps the Polo Lounge - located upstairs from the Fountain Room - would be a better fit. For others seeking a more casual atmosphere, amongst Hollywood's proverbial movers and shakers - folks you many not recognize, but could get a kick out of eavesdropping over conversations about scripts that might just turn into movies you'll see in two years - the Fountain Coffee Room is a great choice.

Grab a seat or two at the counter and order yourself a cup of coffee as you happily take in the lovely banana leaf printed wall paper. If you'd fancy yourself a cocktail, you'll have to go upstairs - but wine and beer are available, but expect to pay from $15 - $25 for wine, and $7.50 - $8.50 for beer.

The Pecan Belgian Waffle and Silver Dollar Pancakes are both great, as are the more luxurious Scottish Salmon and Sour Cream Caviar Omelets. Salads are fresh and satisfying, as are the old-fashioned array of sandwiches. Finally, ice cream selections from the fountain are a must. The Malteds, Milk Shakes, and Ice Cream Sundaes are renowned classics.

After an old-fashioned filling meal, be sure to take a tour through the hotel and snap some touristy photos of the opulent lobby.
