Never been to Paris? Well, the City of Lights was brought to the Big Apple with the Parisian lifestyle/glamour inspired ELLE Runway Collection by Kohls. The event, hosted by Style360, was on point with the French theme by having the models walk thru an Eiffel Tower shaped frame, guests sitting "front row" at café tables, the Paris skyline on the walls, and playing French music throughout the show. Sitting at one the front row tables was singer/actress Christina Milian who kept it cool in a Wu-Tang t-shirt and jeans.

Brush Up on Your Beauty Basics

Any artist will tell you that good technique and quality supplies are worthless if you don’t have the tools to maximize them to their full potential. In the realm of cosmetics, a good brush is as vital to a makeup maven as it is to a painter. Glance at any beauty supplier’s stock, and you’ll see that styles run the gamut from broad, blush-friendly kabuki designs to slender, lid-lining models that are ideal for creating flawless cat eyes. The size, in addition to the type, and coarseness of its bristles are aspects worth considering when choosing the tool that will do the trick.

Trend Spotting at NYFW

Fashion Week is most definitely a time to see and be-seen. Besides having our keen fashion eyes on the runways, Joonbug.com also had our eyes on the fashionistas of NYC. We wanted to share some of the trends to wear this fall -- inspired by what we spotted during this stylish time of year! An added bonus is these pieces can be styled endless ways, so you can add your own personal style stamp to your look.

Statement pieces are here to stay. Go even bolder and bigger with jewel tone colors that bring your favorite LBD (little black dress) to the next level. Every fashionista knows that a beautiful lip color is necessary with any ensemble. You can literally make a style statement with the use of the proper lip color. Lorac Alter Ego lipstick in Dominatrix is that deep wine color that will add a rich feel to your latest ensemble. Known for her beautiful shoe designs, Diana Warner Studio carries a style we spotted all over NYFW -- the bootie. With a chic fold down look in a versatile stone color -- this bootie can easily take you from desk to date night! A city girl must-have. Another New York designer, Lauren Cecchi creates chic handbags that are as versatile as they are stylish. Grey is a huge trend this season and what better way to get into the 50 Shades of Grey vibe than with a timeless yet uber chic handbag. We saw so many alluring hats at fashion week and want to get in on the trendy look minus the high end price tag. This burgundy felt fedora from Old Navy is on-trend and wallet friendly!

Visionary Silhouettes from Bibhu Mohapatra S/S 2015

In his signature style, Bibhu Mohapatra wowed at NYFW S/S2015. Immaculate drapery, rich vibrant silks, and divine colors floated across the runway with ethereal grace and effortless beauty. Formerly a designer for J. Mendel, Mohapatra has never seemed to disappoint with his collections since the inception of his eponymous line in 2008.

This season the collection favored floor and midi length evening gowns in heavily-draped, almost metallic silks. Hints of geometric prints with carefully placed florals added interest to many of the read-to-wear designs. Elaborate and chic matching two-sets were also a highlight of the collection, and some of our personal favorite looks. The color scheme expanded from black and white to muted neutrals and vibrant jeweled reds and blues.

1. Michael Kors goes Retro

Kors reinforces the fact that happy people are the prettiest people with his “optimist chic” collection. In today’s stressful world, Kors strives to bring joy with his retro line- and that is just what he is doing. Kors brings us back to the 50’s with classic A-lines, sewn in florals and retro plaid. This collection is genius because it is day and evening wear for real women. There was not one frown in the audience after his nostalgic parade.
