Luxe Vintage
'P.H. 8442' Opens on Melrose Place
At JoonBug, we adore vintage. And by vintage, we mean PROPER vintage, of the '1960's Chanel purse' kind, as opposed to the 'Forever 21 bracelet' brought five years ago type. Thankfully, there are people out there who cater to our desires. Rona Gaye Stevenson and Cassandra Huysentruyt- the latter the previous owner of WeHo staple 'Coquette Vintage'- recently added to the luxe, vintage scene, with the opening of their new store 'P.H. 8442'.

The store itself: a penthouse, which sits within a quaint courtyard on Melrose Place, is reminiscent of old Hollywood : In light boxes lining the hall sit '60s Vogue covers, whilst the wall opposite is covered in original 'Edith Head' artwork. This makes the perfect home for an equisite collection of vintage gowns, cocktail dresses, accessories, and object de arte (1970's Gucci ashtray anyone?).

In addition to the vintage collection, the store features hand picked runway pieces from Marchesa and Naeem, along with accessories from Christian Louboutin and lingerie from Kiki de Montparnasse. Makeup artists, hairstylists, and even a tailor are on hand for those looking for the full 'top to toe' treatment.

 P.H. 8442 is by appointment only. E mail appointments@ph8442.com or call 323-782-9700.
