Just south of the usual West Hollywood suspects, youÂ'll find LolaÂ's, a cool restaurant cum martini that doubles as a billiards spot. Perhaps it tries for too many angles with its “California Comfort cuisine” of hearty dishes, huge drink menu, a pool table, industry night, theme nights, and weekday happy hours. But for some reason it works. At the very least, it attracts an eclectic group of people, hanging out against the backdrop of Spanish style interiors and art-deco wall hangings. To avoid the pricey drinks and the crowd, get to LolaÂ's between 5:30 and 7:30 pm any weekday for $5 martinis. With more than 60 to choose from, youÂ'll find one to make your happy hour a little happier.

This laid back bar is the perfect place to grab a martini after work. And though Lola's may be home of the original apple martini, don't ignore the other tasty twists on the four-page martini menu.
