1160 Bar and Lounge

Teak wood and marble outfit the dim interior of the 1160 Bar, creating the feel of a 1930s European salon. But the rattan chairs and family room couches tend to neutralize any artistic flourishes and remind you that this is a hotel bar—the generic swirling wave pattern to the carpet doesnÂ't help either. But the 1160 Bar does have great live shows. Their small stage in the main room hosts rock and jazz musicians like Mike Stinson and Very Be Careful, DJ sets from Money Mark, and Rachel ArieffÂ's bizarre cabaret act every Sunday. Drinks are reasonably cheap and as long as you donÂ't come earlier than 8pm, you can usually find a buzzing crowd.
