There's something about taking an elevator up to a rooftop for revelry that heightens the mood. And the view from atop the W Hollywood Hotel transports you straight to Sin City. Well, that and the booming base system from the DJ booth which vibrates the 20,000 square feet of the newest addition to L.A. nightlife.

When inside you are rewarded with staggering views of the Hollywood Hills and banquette tables backed with rich red velvet tiles and mirrored ceiling-high windows that line up a large lounge. The room opens up into a dance space framed by a massive, carved wooden picture frame. Outside feels like an oasis with a penthouse roof garden topped with custom cabanas and daybeds. Moroccan-style inlaid wood tables and a VIP balcony overlooking the pool, give heed to the same convo, "This doesn't feel like Hollywood."

That's exactly the management team's intent. Tryst and XS, clubs of the triumvirate Las Vegas nightlife entrepreneurs Victor Drai and the Waits twins, have reigned as popular Vegas destinations while many other after-hours venues of their kind have since fallen off the radar.

The haunt has remained a staple because of its unique understanding of notoriety and clientele. The time tested charms and unique appreciation of Drai's After Hours can't be denied. The formula works.

This is a homecoming for Victor Drai. Before packing up to Vegas his eponymous restaurant on La Cienega enjoyed a successful six year run.

"Drai's style" restaurant will feature Chef Claude Segal and guests can choose to eat inside or under the sky.

For once, what happens in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas.

Now complete with the W Hotel's poolside party vibe, cradled right at Hollywood and Vine and a classy and sexy vibe, take the covert express elevator straight to Floor 12 for an experience you won't soon forget.
