With its roots in Las Vegas, one of the world's most renowned capitals of entertainment and hype, Pink Taco has always been destined for success. After hitting it big in Sin City, Pink Taco opened a new restaurant in Los Angeles in 2007.  Angelenos, if you haven't given this place a shot yet, you don't know what you're missing! This ultra-hip cantina sports a whopping menu bursting with traditional Mexican dishes with a California kick!

While their food ranks on my top 10 list, the drinks score even higher marks! Lucky for us, Pink Taco offers a daily happy hour with a wide selection of options. From 3pm - 7pm, enjoy $6 appetizers big enough to share and your choice of half-price margaritas, beer, mojitos, wine, or sangria. The margaritas are out of this world-Strong and tasty (a rare find)! For about $5, you really are getting more for your money! My only complaint: Any beer BESIDES Corona is half price-Why single out the tastiest Mexican-imported beer from a south-of-the-border happy hour menu?

The restaurant's bold and colorful décor, which is exaggerated even more in the bar area, is truly top-notch. Shiny aluminum stars hanging from the ceiling and bar, low-rider motorcycles, over-sized Christmas lights, colorful walls, and an assortment of other Mexican-inspired artwork give Pink Taco the edge it needs to be successful despite its less-than-ideal location in a shopping mall. I must say, when you're inside the bar, though, you feel as if you're in any popular hotspot worthy of the "Hollywood spotlight." The flat-screen TVs, loud music, and good service top it all off-Spending a couple hours in the bar during happy hour will leave you feeling just as satisfied as you would after a typical late-night-out-A great find for those full-time professionals not entirely willing to give up their active social life!

Next time you're looking for a great place to unwind with a few friends or co-workers, give Pink Taco's unbeatable happy hour a go ... You won't be disappointed! For under $20, treat yourself to a quesadilla and 2 margaritas (strawberry and mango, perhaps) or a few beers and steak nachos big enough to enjoy as your meal. I guarantee you leave sufficiently full, buzzed just enough, and anxiously awaiting your next visit!
