Abuse Counseling and Treatment, Inc (ACT) is a non-profit organization that provides counseling and treatment for victims of domestic and sexual abuse and human trafficking. Each year the ACT hosts an arts auction in the ACT Art Gallery in Fort Myers, where all proceeds go to the organization. The gallery itself is funded by ACT and its yearly auctions includes works from top world-renowned artists.
Described as "a truly eclectic gallery," this funky art space has celebrated artists such as Jasper Johns, James Rosenquist, and Claes Oldenburg. This year, the event on August 6th will showcase 120 local, national and international artists. The ring masters of ceremony will be none other than celebrities Actor/Director Bill Cobbs and Singer/Artist Bobby Goldsboro.
