Lucky Strike boasts affordable rates and the ability to make reservations ahead of time for small or large parties. It would be the perfect place to spend an after-work happy hour, birthday, reunion, or just a random good time. When we went, we were given the opportunity to sample some of their new signature cocktails. I had the Key Lime martini and my husband, being a good sport, allowed me to order “The Boss’ Wife” for him. The Key Lime martini offered a delicious balance between sweet and tangy. I would recommend this drink for after dinner as it was literally liquid dessert, and it packed a punch! “The Boss’ Wife” was a unique vodka based cocktail with mixtures of blood orange bitters and a ginger infusion. It offered a sweet tangy flavor that any “boss’s wife” would enjoy, and it happened to match my lipstick very well!
While bowling, we were given the opportunity to sample several appetizers. The Chicken Pillows were my favorite. They can be ordered pan-seared or fried, and they come drizzled with a teriyaki sauce and served with a mandarin dipping sauce. Their hummus was also quite good, served with warm pita breads. They also offered a variety of other appetizers, such as chicken tenders, chicken wings, and coconut shrimp, which all offered comfortable flavors to savor. We were also brought a platter with grilled ciabatta bread and 3 individual dipping sauces. The roasted tomato red pepper jam had a bold sweetness that was right up my alley. The green olive and preserved lemon relish was perfect if you are an olive aficionado, and the chimichurri was a savory treat!
In the end, I found this place to be a wonderful venue to spend a social occasion. Bowling is always a great time. What better way to spend a great time with friends than playing a fun game, ordering good food, and imbibing in some unique beverages? I can’t think of a better way!
