
Take your cosmopolitan "mamá" to this East-meets-West restaurant located inside the whimsically-appointed Mondrian in South Beach for a buffet that combines Latin American (namely, Cuban) flavors with those of East Asia. A cold buffet will offer house made granola, a cheese board, and crispy duck, along with ceviche, and sushi. Entrées are heavy on seafood with curried swordfish and black grouper, as well as miso cured cobia. And for the traditional Cuban mother, there will be roast suckling pig cooked in a Caja China. $58 per person with bottomless mimosas or mojitos.
Located within the Shore Club hotel, Terrazza offers a dreamlike ambiance with views of its swimming pool surrounded by some of the most lush landscaping on Miami Beach. This Italian restaurant will be offering a few à la carte specials, but it's the Italian brunch buffet that mom would really appreciate. Expect an extensive array of salumi and Italian cheese, such as bresaola, coppa, taleggio, and burrata, just to name a few. Entrées will include seafood risotto, ricotta and spinach ravioli, lasagna modenese, roast beef, tuna tagliata, and a selection of wood fired oven pizzas. $55 per person with a complimentary mimosa or bellini.
There is no better place with for brunch with a view than the iconic Rusty Pelican on Key Biscayne. Having recently gone through a complete makeover, including a updated menu, the old Mother's Day standby now not only offers a meal with a view, but quite an innovative menu. Brunch on Mother's Day will be a little on the predictable side with brunch buffet classics that will sure to please the whole family, with a few surprises thrown in. Expect paellas, ceviches, a roasted leg of lamb, and unlimited mimosas and bloody marys. $75 per person.

Perhaps offering one of the most inventive interpretations of Miami cuisine that fuses many of the different ethnic flavors found in The Magic City, this restaurant located in The Four Seasons hotel in Brickell will be offering some interestingly themed stations including a Mexican station serving chilaquiles (a typical breakfast dish) and a "Cuban Food Truck" serving a deconstructed Cuban sandwich. In addition to traditional brunch buffet fare, Edge will include Peruvian seafood, slow roasted lamb, snapper, and many more creative offerings. $99 per person.
If mom doesn’t have the appetite for a lavish buffet (and if you don’t quite have the budget), you can still treat her to a fabulous gourmet brunch at Chef Daniel Boulud’s Brickell outpost. Enjoy a special $38 three course prix fixe menu with such options as pâté de campagne and a duo of beef that consists of hanger steak and red wine braised short ribs. Finish off brunch with a luscious strawberry and Sicilian pistachio cake.
