Miami's fall fashion trends may not match the fuzzy boots or knit coats worn all over Manhattan, Boston, or Chicago but there are several right-off-the-runway trends for Miami fashionistas to sport this fall, right here under the sun. One of the best ways to stay cool, of course, is to be in the nude. Though not literally, more than ever our natural birthday suit complexions come in all shades, in patent pumps, strapless silhouettes, and bare shades of make-up to compliment that sun-kissed skin. Conveniently, these nude shades appeared this summer and will stroll right through the fall to substitute for those darker neutrals like brown and black. This color will keep you looking chic during the fall and most importantly, bare!

If your closet is still looking very summery with those colorful prints and short skirts, don't worry; you don't need to buy a whole new wardrobe because if you're not going up north this winter, it may not be much use. Those brighter prints can still be woven in to a balanced fall look or mix it with a trendy military jacket. For example, BCBGeneration fall collection features floral dresses or blouses (which happens to match our year-round landscape) that can be balanced out with a 3-quarter sleeve boyfriend blazer and cut-out booties or pumps. If you're a typical Miami socialite, then you know we take being fashionably late seriously when it comes to nightlife and hot events. This is a great excuse to stunt in a couture-inspired assemble on a [rather warm] Saturday night with metallic embellishments or long-sleeve mini silhouettes which can be found on sites like H&M this fall. The oh-so-famous “Do not wear white after labor day” rule may get you that "is-she-serious" look by fashionistas who live up North but here in sunny South Florida, this rule barely applies. Wearing white in the fall requires a little more thinking and if you must wear it, use it minimally or wear pearl white to soften your look. This is a great color to stay cool during warm weathers and you can go absulutley crazy with all fall basics.
Our Holidays may take place in what seems like Christmas in July, but we can still join the rest of the country in indulging in the latest fall collections, only it'll be more Miami Style !
