To All My Little Joonbugs,

While I hate to be the bearer of bad news, I need to let all my Miami bugs in on a little news that has been going on here in the Joonbug office in New York.  This will be my last Chet Settin' column as I have taken on the role of Editor-In-Chief of Joonbug.  With that comes some new territory.  I am responsible for the New York site now ::gasp:: and I hope that we will achieve just as much success here in The City as we did in Los Angeles and Miami.  Oh, how I will miss talking to you all on a daily basis and daydreaming about the beaches of Malibu and the shores of South Beach.  

But, the strata of the The City That Never Sleeps beckons and I am certainly up for writing and editing the stories that hit the streets where I live.  Jay-Z poetically describes New York as this "concrete jungle where dreams are made of," and I must agree with his ethos. What we all strive for in our respective cities is character and culture.  I believe that through our journeys together we have found nightclubs and restaurants, fashion houses and theaters which have bridged the divide between New York, Los Angeles and Miami to form a Joonbug family through our words and our pictures.  This is, and has been for some time now, the highlight of my day, this blog-o-sphere we live and laugh in, where we have made lifelong friends and found comfort in a snarky post or drooled over the never-ending glamour of DJ Lindsay Luv.  And down in Miami, we were graced by the weekly superstar interviews that Mike Rothman scored for us and so eloquently transcribed and journaled into a picturesque manuscript.  In Los Angeles we give a toast to Allison Intrieri who gave us our weekly updates on our favorite reality TV shows as well as scoring exclusives with top celebrity designers.

So, as the bi-coastal journey comes to an end, we have much to celebrate.  And, as I now journey through the neighborhoods I walk through everyday and bring you all the hottest gossip in nightlife and entertainment, I will take with me all the amazing stories we shared together.  There's a whole big world out there, and New York City is only a plane ride away.  So, I suspect I will be seeing you all very soon and by the way, Miami, I will be down to see you in two short weeks so I look forward to an encore performance upon my arrival!
