Photographer Jordan Michael Zuniga debuted his latest series Women in Cages at a VIP cocktail reception at Cafeina in Wynwood earlier this month. The series features nine nude portraits of Miami's most prominent female figures including Brooke Hogan, Tracy Mourning, Ines Rivero, Elaine Lancaster, Heather Davis, Ivette Naranjo, Katrina Campins, Michelle Pooch, Pachi Lake and Tara Solomon.
Eighty percent of the proceeds from sales of the photographs of the ladies crammed into tiny cages are donated directly to People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). The series is part of PETA's "I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur" campaign and raises awareness about cruelty to animals.
The exhibition is on display at Cafeina from August 12 through September 10, 2011.
