Her actual ashes were buried in an adjoining plot near the memorial, which is marked by a single rose.  At the unveiling of the new monument, her father Mitch Winehouse described her life as being "short but dynamic."  A post on her website read: "Whilst the world continues to mourn the loss of a true superstar, her family - first and foremost - remember the daughter, niece and sister that is no longer with them."  Friday, Sept. 14 would have marked the 29th birthday of Winehouse.
