It's a baby for a Backstreet Boy!
Former boy-bander A.J. McLean, 34, and wife Rochelle DeAnna Karidis announced they are expecting their first child together on Sunday.
Announcing the news through YouTube, McLean said, “I just wanted to say thank you guys for all your love and support. We recently got married— I was the most recent Backstreet Boy to take the plunge.” He then said, “Because we love you all so much, we wanted to share with you—for the first time—something very special. We’re having a baby!
McLean has struggled with his alcohol addiction for quite some time and even credits Karidis for his strength. “You are my whole world and I cannot wait to spend my life with you. Without you here, I am lost,” he tweeted to his supportive wife.
The happy couple got married in December 2011. McLean had said some time ago, “I think we’ll be married for about three years before we have kids.”
Baby on the way sooner rather than later.
All the other Backstreet Boy members who are fathers, excluding Nick Carter, have sons. Let’s hope A.J. has a son too so there can be another boy band group in the next couple of years!
