2012 seems to be the year of celebrity reinvention and no one has had a more publicized re-entry to fame than starlet-gone-rogue Lindsay Lohan. LiLo's very public struggle with drugs, alcohol, and theft have left the skeptics and even her most loyal of fans doubtful of a successful return back to the limelight.
But she shocked everyone with a semi-above decent performance on Saturday Night Live earlier this year and a funny parody role on Fox’s hit series Glee. Then she got Hollywood buzzing, claiming the role of Elizabeth Taylor in the biopic “Liz and Dick."
Things are looking good for the once troubled celeb...or are they?
After she collapsed on Friday Lilo took to Twitter to address the much publicized incident that left many thinking she was next to join the "Forever 27" club;
"Note to self. After working 85 hours in 4 days and being up all night shooting, be very aware that you might pass out from exhaustion & 7 paramedics MIGHT show up @ your door....hopefully they're cute. Otherwise it would be a real let down."
According the US Weekly, the actress collapsed and was treated by paramedics after working a very hectic schedule. One would think she would be resting if she was so "exhausted." However, Lilo was spotted partying all night in West Hollywood's Chateau Marmont.
Back in 2005 Lohan was hospitalized for "exhaustion" and shortly thereafter her downward spiral of out of control behavior began to cast its shadow over her acting talent.
Lohan’s reps said that her collapsing was truly a result of exhaustion and dehydration citing she was back to work shortly after she was treated. For the sake of all the Lindsay Lohan fans, we can only hope that she keeps it together. Maybe a few indie films, more guest appearances and --dare we ask-- a return to the music world? Okay maybe we’re getting ahead of ourselves but we can only hope!
What about you readers? Do you think Lindsay is going to keep it together this time?
