Liam and Miley

Earlier this summer former Disney darling Miley Cyrus remained true to form and sent media shockwaves when she announced her engagement to hunky "Hunger Games" star Liam Hemsworth. In lieu of "shot gun wedding" rumors (a wedding where couples rush into marriage because the bride is pregnant), the young couple aggressively made it a point to say the engagement was out of love --not responsibility.

Let's fast forward to July.

According to US Weekly a source close to the couple explained that Cyrus and Hemsworth are going to put the wedding on hold to expand their family.

OK? ... Moving right along.

The source also made it a point to explain that "Miley is 19 going on 40," defending the young star's decision to have a baby.

We're sure she is.

There is no doubt that to Cyrus and Hemsworth are two young stars with immense talent, great genes and extremely deep pockets, but is starting a family so young the best thing for their careers? With a fan base of such young impressionable eyes, is even getting married at such a young age a great idea?

Starting a family and getting married is a big decision for anyone, international super stars or not. We wish them luck (they're going to need it)!
