Suit up, NPH fans.

Your trusty editor's dream has come true. Part-time actor and full-time DILF Neil Patrick Harris is finally getting the star treatment he deserves. The longtime Hollywood regular has officially received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Hollywood Boulevard near the Pantages Theatre. Eep! Lucky number 2448.

For moral support, the actor was accompanied by How I Met Your Mother co-star & friend Jason Segel, as well as director  Joss Whedon. The cult Hollywood writer had helped out Harris by writing/producing for the online musical series Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog', during the 2008 writers' strike.  Whedon also spoke a few words with NPH when the actor received the huge honor.

Neil Patrick Harris, 38, has always had luck on his side when it comes to his career. Sure, talent and irrestistable charm may have given him an extra boost, but the actor's natural knack for entertainment and uncanny ability to grab an audience has enchanted us all.

This father of two has certainly earned this star. Not only in Hollwood, but in the hearts of the people who have been following his career right from the star. His breakout role as boy-genius Doogie Howser, M.D. back in the 90s struck a chord with teenage girls (and several older women) everywhere. Fast-forward to 2011 and mix in a couple of Emmy Awards, Neil Patrick Harris has pretty much stayed on the right track in his area of expertise.

Catch him reprise his 'fan-favorite' role of Barney Stinson this Monday night on CBS. Season 7 (ahh!) How I Met Your Mother. So stoked!
