The pair met years ago as USC students when Ryan had cast America in a student film. Looks like he had an eye for choosing stars long before they hooked up. Ferrera has already earned herself an Emmy, a SAG award & even a Golden Globe for her work in Ugly Betty...and she's only 27!
After already accomplishing so much in her life, what's the next role to step into? Get married and be wife to a hottie, of course.
On her special day, America the Beautiful definitely lived up to her name and got married in the Chappaqua, NY estate of friend & co-star Vanessa Williams. The blushing bride wed her gorgeous groom in an Amsale dress - the Christos label - and perfectly accessorized with a pair of Fred Leighton earrings.
Aside from friends and family, among the 100 guests in the fairly intimate celebration were America's The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants co-stars Alexis Bledel, Amber Tamblyn, and Blake Lively (although no Leo was in sight). Ferrera's Ugly Betty family was in attendance as well, including Vanessa Williams (well, it IS her property), Rebecca Romijn (with hubby Jerry O'Connell), Mark Indelicato, and Judith Light -- who actually officiated the ceremony! Seems like America is as lovely offscreen as she is onscreen.
Congratulations to Ryan & America! Stay adorable and make those babies enjoy the honeymoon :)
