Kobe and Vanessa (The Confused)

Rumors of reconciliation swirled when Kobe and Vanessa were caught kissing at Staples Center on Valentine's Day, two months after she filed for divorce. Court records indicate that Vanessa Bryant's divorce from Kobe Bryant is proceeding despite several reports of the pair together.

One legal expert said it's not uncommon for couples to continue the legal work of separate even if they consider whether to continue some type of relationship. “A married couple can decide to split their specific assets and continue their marriage,” said family law attorney Chris Melcher.

Heidi and Seal (The Unexpected)

In a formal statement, the superstar couple finally confirmed rumors that they were breaking up.

According TMZ, Klum, 38, demanded a divorce because she was worried about the affect Seal’s 'inability to control his temper' was having on their children. 

She also claimed to be fed up with the 48-year-old British singer’s ‘hard partying.’ Although there was no suggestion of infidelity, one source said: ‘It was a long time in coming.’ 

Katy Perry and Russell Brand (The Peaceful)

 Kay Perry and Russell Brand never entertained the idea of signing a prenup -- and if they could do it all over again ... they wouldn't have changed a thing.

According to sources, Katy and Russell's marriage happened so fast, they never really had the opportunity to summon their lawyers and hash out a prenup ... nor did either really believe they needed one.

Apparently both felt comfortable one wouldn’t screw the other in the event of a divorce -- they both knew where the other person stood on money, life, religion ... everything. The source adds, “He would never take money that [Katy] earned. That’s not Russell. And if it was the other way around, Katy wouldn’t have taken it either. They respect each other too much."

And that’s just what happened. Russell even refused to take the $20 mil (half of Katy Perry’s earnings during the marriage) he was allowed by the court. Aww.

Demi and Ashton (The Messy)

After a six-year marriage that had endured insecurities, emotional strife, and cheating scandals, Demi and Ashton finally called it quits. In the final days of their bitter split, the emotional battles that turned their relationship toxic, and its obvious effects on Demi, have made tabloid headlines everywhere.

 “It just got to a point where they had to end it,” explained a source. “They were fed up with each other.” In the end, the 15-year age difference, his wandering eye, and her insecurities ultimately proved their undoing. The same passion that had once launched a thousand public displays of affection is now fueling an increasingly hostile public divorce.

Kim and Kris Humphries (The Ridiculous)

This couple filed for divorce as fast as they got married. A 72 day marriage doesn’t seem like it would be hard to prove fraudulent, but for Kris Humphries, it might be a tough one.

Just like Kim, Kris made money off their wedding, interviews, and pictures. But it turns out that Kim and Kris opened a joint account right before the wedding and put all of that wedding money right into it, but he hasn't seen a dime. If it’s a joint account, shouldn’t he have as much access to the money as Kim?! Sources close to Kris says he's never attempted to withdraw any of it. This goes along with the idea of Kris only wanting an annulment and not the money; but he'll have to prove that the marriage was a fraud. To make sure he receives his earnings, Kris threatened to make it a messy public divorce if Kim doesn’t show him the money! Kris should know by now, for Kim there’s no such thing as bad publicity.

But good luck with that Kris, we're sure Kim has hired the best lawyers in Hollywood.
