A divorce is dissolution of commitment and investment in two people’s futures which is devastating in its own right without the added pressure of media scrutiny. But that seems to be the predicament Kim Kardashain’s celebrity has gotten her into.
The reality star married pro basketball player Kris Humphries back in August of 2011. But even after a highly publicized wedding and a very brief union, called it quits and filed for divorce in October 2011.
Practically calling open season of scrutiny on the Kim K Empire.
Fast forward nearly 9 months later, Kim K is anxiously awaiting her divorce proceedings to commence so she can live her life without the hefty shadow that is the relentless Kris Humphries. It seems as though Humphries is in full “assassination of character mode” when it comes to his ex. Most recently suggesting that Kim’s mother Kris Jenner directed the infamous Ray-J sex tape and even told Kim to reshoot it because it “wasn’t pretty enough."
He’s gone on to state that he was physically abused by a philandering Kim, that she isn’t as fan friendly as she lets on, that he was used solely for the purpose of boosting the show’s ratings, and that Kim is stashing 20 million dollars of her money so that he can’t get his hands on it.
An understandably hurt Humphries is trying his hardest to tarnish the Kardashian empire, but is he going too far? Didn’t Kim have the right to decide whether or not she wanted to stay with him, regardless of the time frame? Is Humphries milking his time in the spotlight to get back at his ex?
