Wyclef Jean was shot in the hand this weekend just outside Port-au-Prince. He was immediately sent to a local hospital and released a few hours later, in good shape.
On Saturday, his publicist Cindy Tanenbaum said, "He's fine now. It happened late yesterday night and he was released after a couple of hours."
It happened the night before the country's presidential runoff election. Remember that Jean is a former candidate for the Presidency, but officials in Haiti barred his candidacy because he lives primarily in New Jersey.
