We like it when we hear that celebs are using their influence for good. No time is a better time than the present and the holiday season to do something caring for someone else.

Celebrities like Lauren Conrad, Miranda Kerr, Rob Lowe, and Jillian Michaels are giving the coats off their backs this holiday season by donating and signing a coat from their personal wardrobe to be auctioned off on LoleWomen.com as part of the brand’s Yellow Label Program. All proceeds will benefit Feeding America – the nation’s leading domestic hunger-relief charity. Bidding starts at $20 at www.LoleWomen.com/yellowlabel and the auction kicks off with Smash Star Megan Hilty and 30 Rock’s Katrina Bowden. We at Joonbug admire their motto, "Give a Coat. Start a Story."

In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, thousands of men, women and children are currently without power or even roofs over their head. By donating your gently used coat, you’ll be helping in their initiative to avoid unnecessary purchases and waste by recycling apparel to new owners. They collect these coats, inspect and repackage them, then add them to their Yellow Label shop on lolewomen.com. Bidding begins at $20 to purchase these Yellow label certified coats which have been worn less than five years, are freshly laundered, and not torn.

“Our goal with the Lolë Yellow Label program is simple: giving gently used winter coats a second life to support our philosophy of intelligent consumption” - Bernard Mariette, President and CEO of Lolë. This is a great gift that gives back and a way to score a piece of a celebrity’s personal wardrobe.
