Not only is Micheal Kors leading the world in fashion, he is also leading the world into a better place. Throughout his career, Michael Kors has created stylish pieces, handbags, scarfs, watches, etc, donating a portion of the proceeds to researching cures for breast cancer.  Kors had made generous donations to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, the Mass General Cancer Center, and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), to name just a few.

Kors has also been affiliated with other philanthropic causes.  In June 2011, Kors was awarded amfAR Award of Courage at the charity’s New York gala, with proceeds going towards the AIDS research foundation.

When Japan was rocked by the devastating earthquake last year, Kors was one of the first on the scene to help.  He created a limited-edition handbag to support the relief effort during Fashion’s Night Out in Tokyo, with 100% of the proceeds going towards the relief fund.
