This Wednesday, the pop superstar made the announcement that she is launching the Born This Way Foundation.
After the suicide of 14-year-old superfan Jamey Rodemeyer, a devastated Gaga vowed to join the fight to constitute bullying as illegal. She sadly tweeted: "The past days I've spent reflecting, crying, and yelling. I have so much anger...It is hard to feel love when cruelty takes someones life....Bullying must become illegal. It is a hate crime. I am meeting with our President. I will not stop fighting. This must end."
She used her passion and determination to create the Born This Way Foundation with mom Cynthia Germanotta, saying: "My mother and I have initiated a passion project...Together we hope to establish a standard of Bravery and Kindness, as well as a community worldwide that protects and nurtures others in the face of bullying and abandonment.”
The foundation will officially launch in 2012. We're with you!
