This past Saturday we were delighted to attend Marvel US Management’s first “Fashionably Marvel US” Showcase at Glo Ultra Lounge in New Brunswick, NJ. Every other Thursday, the management company will put on a different event showcasing the outstanding talent they represent. This week, we were lucky enough to see the AMAZING styles of Jimmy Swagg, Inc. 

Jimmy Swagg is an up and coming sunglass phenomenon with the unforgettable motto “Health, Sex, and SwaGG." Each pair is reasonably priced (in the $50-80 range) and each style is associated with a different charity. When that style is purchased, a certain amount of the proceeds are sent to the respective charity. The philanthropy does not stop there: As a goal for the future, they also hope to involve the Long Island high school systems in their mission to give back.

Having only worked on the line just one year, Swagg’s accomplishments are nothing to be shy about.  He is already looking to expand his brand by coming out with a fragrance, an organic clothing line, and is even in the works of a reality show called Swagg 2 Riches. In the show’s trailer, Jadakiss is spotted trying on a pair of shades! Other celebs who are allegedly fans of  ‘the Swagg’ include P Diddy, Rick Ross, Amber Rose, and Teyana Taylor.

Oxygen’s Brooklyn 11223 star Christie Livoti made an appearance on the runway in her Swagg gear. We had the opportunity to talk to Livoti, who explained that after filming the reality show, she decided to get involved with modeling. Swagg welcomed her as a face in his company. Due to Swagg’s findings of widespread interest in modeling, he is also working to form his own firm.

Marvel US Management currently represents five businesses as well as models. While talking to CEO Darius Mayfield, he explained that the company basically does everything in its power to build a brand from the bottom up. They’re in charge of everything from planning events to publicity, and are always on the lookout for new talent to expand their focus. Marvel US is definitely doing a fantastic job in assisting in Jimmy Swagg’s endeavors and his transformation into an empire.
