Dress for Success is a non-for-profit organization whose goal is to provide disadvantaged women with "professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life."
This Saturday night, November 9, Y.E.S (Young Executives for Success) will be hosting an event to help raise funds and awareness for parent company, Dress For Success.
The 3rd annual "Shop for Success VIP cocktail party" will be held at the Metropolitan Pavilion. The exclusive VIP event will have a DJ, open bar, hors d’oeuvres, raffle, and silent auction.
Food lovers in New York City always keep their eye onCity Harvest events. New York City's food rescue organization's young professionals group, Generation Harvest, hosted its 12th Annual Summer in the City restaurant tasting and cocktail party last night at the Metropolitan Pavilion. The food-centric event featured the city's newest culinary stars in action and guests were able to sample their delectable dishes. Restaurants such as Ditch Plains,Dinosaur Bar-B-Que,Hecho en Dumbo,Momofuku Ssam Bar, and The Stanton Social were serving up hits. Other participating venues included Ardesia Wine Bar, New York Cake Pops,Victor's Cafe, and many more. The fun-filled evening also played host to an incredible silent auction, with prizes such as vacations in Puerto Rico and San Francisco, designer handbags, wine baskets, and sports tickets. Topping off the evening was a special performance by Howie Day. There was also a VIP lounge sponsored by Nespresso. City Harvest is well-known for its outstanding food events in the city and we suggest you get your stomachs to their next one pronto!
