For most of us, the Avengers premiered with a bang at midnight today. It was one of the most anticipated movies of the year. Not only is it an action film starring superheroes, but it ties together at least 5 films and a ton of characters into one movie. Fans of the comics and newcomers alike were also dying to see whether Joss Whedon’s touch would make the film a hit or a dud. The polarizing
Buffy,
Firefly, and
Cabin in the Woods creator definitely drew a crowd. Midnight premieres across the country were packed with fans waiting to see the film. Some wore t-shirts and accessorized according to their favorite Avengers character. Others went for full costumes.

A more subtle and quick way to represent your favorite was created by make-up lover
Jangsara. The Finland based and self-taught make-up artist is known for putting together looks based on pieces of pop culture. She takes her inspiration from movies, video games, books, and more. While she keeps up on the latest fashion trends and does product reviews, her off the wall make-up tutorials always draw a crowd. This week she’s put together an eye look for each of the Avengers. While each might be a little over the top for some, her tutorials leave room for the look to be modified or toned down to suit whoever is trying it. Still, her two most over the top looks are perhaps our favorites. Her Loki-inspired look is a beautiful combination of gold and green that not only manages to convey the grandeur of his character by incorporating a peacock lash, but also manages to work in his horns in an extremely clever way. Her Agent Fury-inspired look actually creates his
eyepatch with glittery and bold black make-up. Her Hulk look works in those torn purple pants in the coolest way possible. Each look she’s created is stunningly detailed!

While her Avengers creations are not for the shy, her Black Widow and Hawkeye looks are perhaps the most subtle among them. They’re still smoky and standout, but they can be worn by a stealth Avengers fan who just wants to feel a little heroic. Each of her looks comes with a detailed tutorial and breakdown of the colors she used to create the look. She also makes sure to mention what materials and brushes she used, often listing alternatives if one seems a little too pricey. If funky pop culture looks aren’t your thing, though, Jangsara also creates entirely original looks. They can range from subtle everyday looks to gorgeous art for the eyes.
