Celebrities Photoshopped into Everyday People

via Planet Hiltron
It’s been a rough week all around and we here at Joonbug like nothing more than to send our readers off with a smile and hopefully a laugh or two. Sit tight, scamps, because once again someone fooling around with Photoshop has produced something pretty golden. New York City based artist Danny Evans has started a project called Planet Hiltron. Rather than use his apparently immense Photoshop skills to improve the looks of celebrities even more, he’s carefully giving them what he calls a “make under”.

Sick of seeing stars and models obsessively retouched in magazines, commercials, and even newspapers, Evans attempts to envision the celebrities du jour as average people. He imagines them without personal trainers, hairdressers, make-up artists, and meal planners. Then he brings those less than perfect stars to life. The results are surprisingly realistic. Suddenly Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Lopez, and even Angelina Jolie look an awful lot like people we might know. Evans creates pictures that look like regular, sometimes embarrassing snapshots we’d find on an old roll of film. The celebrities almost seamlessly become someone else.

Sure, there are laughs, but none of them come from mocking what’s less than perfect. We’re thrown off seeing such famous people look so unpolished. Half the fun is spending that time figuring out who you’re supposed to be looking at. Evans gets really creative. Though we’ll admit, some of that 90s mom hair and liberal use of school picture backgrounds brings back some pretty painful memories.

There are more pictures below, but check out Planet Hiltron’s Facebook for more!
