Of course the list only highlights the men's flattering qualities like how much money they make, and how charming/witty/handsome/successful they are. (No mention of dirty bathrooms, toenail fungus, neurotic O.C.D habits, or ape-like backs.) I skimmed through the slideshow, and to my amusement saw a couple colleagues (one who probably had the best quote of the entire slideshow, which was: "I'm recently single. So hopefully this (list) will get me laid."
The list had its highs and lows, and definitely had me wondering, "Why are some of these men still single?" Followed by, "Wow the stalking that's going to ensue after this list is released is hilarious." The men may want to prepare their restraining orders now. With names, company info, and net worth, it doesn't take much more than a Google search to get your stalk on. But let's not leave the ladies out, The New York Observer also did a '2011 50 Media Power Bachelorettes' list, which included media darlings like Arianna Huffington and Lizzie O'Leary. Fifty men to fifty women. Hmm...we feel like a '50 Media Power People' singles mixer should be a given. Your move, New York Observer!
