Broken Shed Vodka, founded in 2009 in New Zealand, has finally made its way to America. Integration into the US market began in June and has been well-received so far. The vodka is distilled four times from New Zealand whey, additive-free, and uses multiple water sources from New Zealand.
“New Zealand is the perfect place to make vodka,” said Mark Simmonds, co-founder. “We have excellent water — some of the most desired and tastiest in the world —and the purest spirit made from whey. Combined with our craft blending and filtering techniques, we’re able to make a smooth and award-winning vodka, without any additives.”
The founders, Mark Simmonds, Steve Turner, and Mark O'Brien started making the vodka in an old shed on Lake Wanaka (hence, the name) and still use the shed to host events and tastings. Give Broken Shed a warm US welcome by trying some of their delicious cocktails!
