Back in 2009, Josh Ozersky also discovered that he suffered from this chronic condition. Gout, can be managed by eating healthy, controlling weight and getting proper nutrients.

By drinking plenty of fluids daily, eating complex carbohydrates, low-fat dairy products and fruit, you can help protect against gout.

Listed below is a list of foods and beverages, according to Health.com, that are proven to cause gout:

-Seafood including scallops and herring

-Beer

-Red Meat

-Some vegetables like asparagus, cauliflower and spinach

-Turkey

-Organ Meats like foie gras and other livers.

-Drinks with High-Fructose Corn Syrup

Of course, it is okay to eat these foods in moderation. After all, a life with none of these things would not be complete for any food lover.
