Welcome Back Rum!
Denizen Rum brings back the genuine flavors of an underestimated spirit

Are you a Rum Drinker? Even if you're not, there is a rum on the market that is worth exploring. Denizen Rum, a blend of Trinidadian and Jamaican rum, was introduced to New York two years ago and has been taking the marketplace by storm. It has been experimented with among the talent of the mixology community because Denizen brings white rum back to its original form with a fuller flavor and perfect clarity.

Denizen can be used in place of any spirit for a classic cocktail because it is charcoal filtered and aged in oak, which leaves it to yield a full body. We can welcome back the redolent aroma and taste that most producers take out of the product through the distillation process.

“Denizen Rum has successfully attempted to be what white rum used to be – full of flavor," said Marshall Altier. "I taste a sense of place when I drink Denizen, which is in stark contrast to many of the flavorless white rums currently on the market. Denizen has helped me rediscover cocktails that I wouldn’t have otherwise paid attention to."

Denizen Rum is a beautiful spirit that is meant to be complex and blend well with other ingredients. If you normally go for gin or bourbon, spruce it up a little and try something new. With its unique characteristics and viscous mouth-feel, Denizen might be the rum to try when trying to get to know a spirit that is unfamiliar to you. With hints of oak, baking spices and notes of pepper, the rum lingers on your palate. Longing for the next sip? We don't blame you.
