It’s been a good long while since anyone set out from Spain to conquer new territory.
506 years, to be exact.

Introducing Chus and Ceballos, perhaps the greatest duo to come out of Spain since Ferdinand and Isabella. Once upon a time (in 2001), Chus and Ceballos followed in Columbus’s footsteps, bringing their distinct sound to the New World (or, more appropriately, your 6-disc changer). Seamlessly blending House and Techno with an unmistakeable percussion beat, Chus and Ceballos pioneered a ship dubbed as “Iberican” across the wide ocean of house music to start a new colony of artists and producers dedicated to a tribal way of life. Hard work toiling the land earned them residencies at the top clubs in the world, including Stereo Montreal, Pacha NYC, Space Miami and many others. (Sans tomahawks.)
And now, a decade after their first collaboration, Chus and Ceballos are set to release a new 2-disc set entitled Back on Tracks, vol 2. A follow-up to last year’s Back on Tracks, this installment promises a feast of vocals, cowbells, frequencies and pitch modulations more intense than those at your family's Thanksgiving dinner. Consisting of a mixed DJ set worthy enough to cast a net over other live music events, CD1 contains remixes of some of the past year’s favorite tracks, including John Shelvin’s Take me to Space, and Big Black Boot’s Vibrate. CD2 contains 11-tracks in an unmixed format that represent the best of what Chus and Ceballos are doing in the studio. Making history, that is.
What's better than this? Columbus returning home to find the half of his duo wearing a merkin.
